Daddy and Chloe

I know I just put a blog of pictures up but these are just too good!  I was on the phone so Tim took Chloe outside to play.  I came out to find them playing with the hose.

Bubble Bath

Trying to eat the bubbles

I put some bubbles on her

She wasn't all that into sitting in the bubbles but she did want to splash while standing.

Getting closer to her massive "cup" of water

A little fuzzy but too good not to add

She finished off the bath with a lap full of toys.

Happy Sunday!

Chloe's New Things

Miss Chloe is at such an exciting age where her personality is really coming out.  She is learning lots of new things but also, deciding not to work on other things.

She is still not crawling on her knees.  She can get where she needs to go, and fast, with her army crawl. I think she will crawl on her knees eventually because she tries every once in awhile.  However, she is in no hurry because her army crawl is so efficient.  What you will see below is how she has started climbing.  She loves climbing inside and out of her walker.  Since it has wheels, it is not the easiest thing to do but she loves it!  She climbs into baskets now too.

This is her new cup!  Since she won't take a sippy cup and loves drinking out of real cups, I found this one.  It controls the flow of water and allows her to figure out how to drink by herself from a real cup.  We are trying to teach her the sign language for drink but she hasn't made the connection yet.  She can't do this by herself without ending up with a soaked lap but we will get there.

She also got some new bath toys!  She LOVES these foam letters.  We stack them on the side of the bathtub and she knocks them down.  They are perfect for her to chew.  She likes to lay down in the water now too so bath time has become a much longer event...as long as she is not too tired!

Chloe can pull herself up on stuff but just doesn't.  She does it in the bathtub all the time but struggles with other things.  I tried to lure her to practice by placing toys inside our blanket chest.  I thought with the height it would be perfect but it wasn't the best choice because her foot/feet kept getting stuck under it.

Is that not the sweetest face?

There she is hanging out on her knees but not moving.

She will keep getting stronger and learning new things :)

Chloe's First Trip to the Zoo

We ventured out to the zoo last Monday with our neighbors Graham and Casey.  It was our first really warm day in awhile and was so humid!  Chloe is so fair skinned that we loaded her up with sunblock and attempted to keep a hat on her.  She is really good at pulling it off.

The petting zoo was all goats and one donkey.  She wasn't as interested as I hoped but tried to reach a few times.  There are a few other pictures where she is doing her best to get as far away as possible!

The otter exhibit was the best!  He kept coming right up to us!

We saw bears, tigers, birds, snakes and a lot more.  I was more impressed with our zoo than I expected to be.  It is still no St. Louis zoo though.

We thought maybe putting the front part up would help her see better and leave the hat on.  She still took it off though.

Picture with the giraffes!  Chloe is holding her Sophie giraffe :)

It was so hot out and she won't drink water yet so we gave her a wash cloth that she would suck on.  It seemed to work!

Weekend with Grammy and Poppy

This weekend Grammy and Poppy came to visit.  They live in St. Louis but try to see Chloe every 3 weeks or so.  Between them coming here and us going there, it usually works out that way.  She is changing so much that 3 weeks makes a big difference!

We also played outside.  Tim and I played some Hillbilly Golf with our neighbors Graham and Casey while Chloe hung out with Grammy and Poppy.

We had a few nice days and we spent one of them at Sequiota Park.  It was such a nice day that the top of her head got a little sun burnt!

I can't wait till she can play more on these
She was very unsure of the slide at first but then she came around.  It could have been the shoes too.  She kept trying to stand!
