Playdough Day

I made this playdough a few weeks ago and had been waiting awhile to have her play with it.  I thought she would really like it.  Of course the first thing she did was put it in her mouth but really did not like the way it tasted.

She studied it for a bit but really wasn't all that impressed.

I am sure she will like it more as she gets older.

Spaghetti and Babies

Chloe went to play with her friend Madison yesterday.  It was so cute to watch them "talk" back and forth and smile.  You could tell they were both pretty excited to see another baby.  We let them play a bit and talked baby stuff.  It is nice to have someone to talk to that has a baby Chloe's same age.  Miss Madison is a great sleeper and eater; I needed to get some tips because Chloe is neither! After a bit, we got out the spaghetti to play with.

Madison jumped right in.  She loved it!  She was throwing it and trying to eat it.  I don't even know how many times her mama had to try and pull it out of her mouth.

Chloe, on the other hand, did not want anything to do with it.   I wasn't sure what her deal was.  After this picture, I went and sat behind her to try and get her into it.  All she wanted to do was climb into my lap and hold on for dear life. I figured it was that we were in a weird doing something new.

Madison was game for anything.  I think Chloe would have lost it if I had done that.

I LOVE this picture, that may be kind of a mean thing to say, but Chloe is kinda freaking out and Madison is just smiling away, having a grand time.  Chloe was not a very good playmate.  We left and I decided we would try again the next day.  I wasn't sure if doing it in a familiar environment would help and, even though she is young, I want her to be able to overcome things she may be unsure of.

It started out okay at home.  I wouldn't go so far as to say she was playing with it but she wasn't crying either.  A few minutes after I put her in, Tim got home from looking at kayaks with some friends.

This is a good face to remember when she is screaming at me in the middle of the night.
Is she not just the prettiest little thing?
It helped having Tim there a bit to get her mind off what she was sitting in again.  He tried dangling it in front of her and showing her how he could hold it.  We didn't put a lot on her head but he did put one.  She didn't love it but it didn't make her cry.  I would say she made it about 5 minutes before it ended in this...

I guess colored spaghetti isn't for everyone.  It will be interesting to see if we have ruined spaghetti for her forever.

Bubble Bath Time

Trying to get Chloe from nap to nap without getting fussy during sleep training is like trying to get Miles to leave a cheeseburger on the kitchen counter alone...it is not easy. So to get by I have been trying to do some different things with her.  Today we took a bubble bath in the sink.

We have never used bubbles in the bathtub so this was new to her.  She was intrigued at first but that didn't last long.  She became much more interested in splashing.  When she splashes in the bathtub it isn't a big deal because the walls are so high.  Here in the sink, water went everywhere.  I had a towel on the floor to catch the small waves in the sink.

I left the faucet on because she likes to try and grab the water coming out of the bathtub faucet.  It didn't take long before she discovered the water coming out of it.

And then it didn't take long for this to happen.

Chloe is at such a fun age that I am going to start posting all the fun things we do!
